Lyn Dickson – Alpaca Judge

Lyn Dickson has been breeding and showing alpacas for more than 25 years. Together with husband Graeme, she established Warralinga Alpaca Stud in 1992, located in the Hawkesbury Valley northwest of Sydney at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

Accredited as an Australian Alpaca Association judge in 1995, an international judge in Peru in 2000 and a qualified Wool Classer, Lyn is still passionate about alpacas.

Over the years her major judging invitations have included; AAA Nationals, NZ Nationals, British National, Canadian Futurities, International Fleece Shows in the USA and NZ, as well as all of Australia’s major Royal Shows and specialist Breed Shows.

Lyn enjoys being able to mentor newer and younger judges coming up through the ranks and is involved with judge training and development as the Senior Training Judge for Australia and Judge Training Facilitator for New Zealand. In 2017 she was invited as a panel member to assist with recertification of the BAS judges. Lyn was recently made a AAA Life Member.
