ENTRY DETAILS FOR

HALTER AND FLEECE SHOW

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – REVISED FOR 2016

HALTER SHOW ENTRIES  – Suri still open

£40 + VAT PER ANIMAL

In response to feedback from the over-subscribed National Show this year, a number of changes have been made to the entry system. In order to allow exhibitors at the Halter Show an extended period in which to choose their final show team, yet ensure the funds are secure for our society before the final payment is made on the venue, a block-booking system will be available to all.

Entries will open on 1st December 2015 and close on 31st December,

or whenever maximum numbers have been reached

Entries will be made via ‘Manage Your Herd’ in the Registry section of the BAS website.

Choose ‘Other Fees’ from the left hand side menu, then the option of either ‘National Show Huacaya’ or ‘National Show Suri’ and enter the number of entries for that breed.

Electricity for fans should be booked at the same time also via the ‘Other Fees’ option. There is a maximum of four fans per socket. Gold, Silver and Silver Plus sponsors will have already been allocated one electrical hook up and  any additional sockets must be pre-booked.

Once purchases have been selected, click on ‘Submit to Breed Society’. (Do not use browser back button). The fees will be added to your on-line shopping basket and can be paid in the normal way, using a credit or debit card via the PayPal link, by sending a cheque made payable to the BAS, or by direct bank transfer (please remember to add your herd letters as the reference). Entries are not secure until payment has been received. No refunds will be given. Please note receipts may not be issued for a number of days due to other commitments.

Whilst we have additional space and two show rings for 2016, we are restricted by the number of alpacas that can be judged over the two days and therefore we cannot guarantee entry. If our capacity is reached the system will be closed as soon as possible after this point. Any entries taken after capacity and before closing, will be informed within three working days, and any refunds will be given if payment already made. (NB The office will be closed over Christmas. If entries exceed capacity over the holiday period, refunds will be made as soon as possible in the New Year.)

All exhibitors will be given instruction on how to make named entries once block-bookings have closed.

IMPORTANT: All 2015 born cria must be registered with the society before the 22nd of January 2016 in order to ensure entry in the show.

Entries are restricted to maximum of three entries per class (irrespective of any split classes)

NEW: Intermediate Suri classes will be split into shorn and unshorn (ie in second year fleece). These class winners will then both be judged in the relevant colour championship.

Running Order:

RING ONE: Huacaya Classes

JUDGES: Jude Anderson (USA), Mary-Jo Smith (UK)

SATURDAY: Females

SUNDAY: Males

CLASSES: Grey to White

RING TWO: Suri Classes and all Progeny Classes

JUDGES: Angela Preuss (USA), Jay Holland (UK)

 SEVERN HOSPICE

Severn Hospice is not part of the NHS. It is an independent charity and two-thirds of its revenue comes from public fundraising. We will be donating all door takings and funds raised at the Gala Dinner to this very worthwhile cause.

The hospice first opened its doors in 1989 after a decade of fundraising in Shropshire and Mid Wales led by Shelia Laws, founder Chairman of the Hospice and since opening has cared for over 21,000 patients.
