Now in it’s fourth year, this award plus a ‘Highly Commended’

will be awarded to any alpaca product entered via

The Fibre Zone Competition form or on display at the show which is

judged capable of being most commercially viable

There is no need to enter as all exhibits on display will be considered for these awards

In 2017, this competition brought forward many wonderful items, both hand made and machine made to be judged in this exciting award – Penrose Fibre to Product – for products capable of being most commercially viable.

The Penrose Fibre to Product award was won by Edward Ebbern of Wyvern Tailoring for an alpaca tweed three-piece suit.

Judge and Penrose Products managing director Paul Whittey said the Mr Ebbern had ‘nailed it’ with an exclusive product custom made to order from pre-ordered fleece through to woven fabric and tailoring.
