Tailors who are passionate about using and promoting alpaca

CLASS INFORMATION

 

Alpaca Garment

This may be:
a tailored garment from British alpaca cloth, either pure or blended (minimum 50% alpaca -huacaya or suri)
or a knitted or felted garment from British alpaca fibre, again either pure or blended (minimum 50% alpaca)

 

Homewear

Any method of construction but to be made from British alpaca fleece (minimum 50% alpaca- huacaya or suri) eg. felt, yarn, fleece, etc
(accessories may be of other materials ie buttons/embellishments, etc)
This section will include woven alpaca floor rugs.

 

Scarf – 2 classes

Knitted or crochet made from British alpaca yarn, either pure or blended (50% minimum alpaca)
Woven made from British alpaca yarn, either pure or blended (minimum 50% alpaca)

Woven Throw or Fabric

Made from British alpaca yarn. Pure or blended (minimum 50% alpaca- huacaya or suri)

 

Toy

Any method of construction but to be made from British alpaca fleece (minimum 50% alpaca – huacaya or suri) eg felt, yarn, fleece, etc
(accessories may be of other materials ie eyes, buttons, etc)

 

Yarn – 6 classes

Mill spun Huacaya/Mill spun Suri/Mill spun Huacaya and Suri blend (minimum 50% alpaca)
Hand spun Huacaya/Hand spun Suri/Hand spun Huacaya and Suri blend (minimum 50% alpaca)
